15 Feb Who shapes you?
It seems that over the last few months I’ve heard more about the concept that the 5 people you spend the most time with are the people that are shaping who you are as a person.
It feels as though it’s been discussed more in the last few months than it was in all of 2014 and 2015 put together. This is a good thing! Its making us more conscious of the company that we keep. Every time I hear it, I begin to look more into who is shaping me and how are they shaping me. I’ve noticed that for me it’s the conversations. some people are only good for small talk. I need to be challenged. I love to read so when I’m put into a position to learn something new so I gravitate towards it. For this reason I tend to behave the same way towards people. I gravitate towards those who I can learn from.
The great part about this is that as I really look over the people in my life and who is shaping me, they all have skill sets that I lack or would like to be more proficient in. So I decided that I would look deeper into this concept and really define what I’m learning and gaining.
I invite each of you to join me! Who is shaping you and how? Who do you need?
One of the goals that I had in 2016 was to find mentors and develop a team. I believe that I have already completed both BUT I am going to use this time to make sure that I am not deficient in my circle. Your circle is should be pushing you towards achievement, if you look at your circle what are they pushing you to do?
